The Kansas Head Start Association (KHSA) is pleased to announce the selection of Jennifer Adhima as its new Executive Director, effective July 12, 2021.

Jennifer joins KHSA after working for the past sixteen years for Project Eagle, an early childhood education and family support program of the University of Kansas Medical Center.  As Associate Director of Project Eagle, she has focused on program leadership, staff and partnership development, and community engagement.  She holds a master’s degree in social work and has served as an adjunct professor of social policy for the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare. “I am honored to continue the valuable work of the Association. I truly believe in the powerful impact Head Start programs have on the lives of children, families, and communities and look forward to partnering with Head Start programs across the state to share this message.”  Jennifer is a life-long Kansan and currently resides in Lawrence with her family.

Peggy Kelly, who has been KHSA’s Executive Director since September of 2016, is leaving KHSA to be a support to her elderly parents in northern Minnesota.  Peggy relocated to International Falls, MN late in March, 2021.
