Supporting Medically Fragile Children and Their Families
From the article: “Because families are children’s first teachers, and because many families hold strong cultural and religious perspectives about how their children should be cared for, clear communication that begins before the child joins the program is critical. When a child faces significant medical issues, the family often experiences considerable stress about the child’s health and the family’s finances.
