With 39 new lawmakers joining the Kansas Legislature, your voice is especially meaningful in the Statehouse this legislative session. We will gather in the Statehouse again to highlight the good work done in early childhood programs across the state and increase lawmakers’ understanding of the importance of high-quality early childhood experiences – and what your community has done to give kids those experiences.

While we hope to elevate the voice and perspective of families and child care providers, lawmakers also need to hear from non-traditional voices like community leaders and businesses. We encourage you to invite anyone impacted by child care and early learning programs to attend!

This year’s event will focus heavily on conversations and meetings with lawmakers. After you register for the event, you may be paired with a small group of advocates to attend brief, 15-minute meetings during your day in the Statehouse. You may also watch the Senate or House of Representatives in their chamber proceedings.
